The Phrase - To have rapier wit 8 out of 10

Indiana Jones and really long titled movie

It was what it was, and I liked it for being what it should have been. Although I didn't love Cate Blanchet too much, I loved most everything else. I found myself almost close to being a kid again, minus a little shmoltzy alien scenery. The script wasn't as well constructed as the previous Indy films, but the whole thing I found on par with Temple of Doom. I also maintain that Spielberg is an excellent director. Wow this review reads like some serious A.D.D. at work.
Old man Ford still knows how to whip it 7.3 out of 10

Mark Eating Tasty Ikea Doggers When I Can't Because I'm at Work

This dumb dipshit in the photo may as well have been Mark, laughing at me, while all I wanted to make my otherwise uneventful life was a cheap cheap dogger from Ikea.

Too too long

Perhaps it was a lack lustre couple of months, and I am sorry! But now I have some grrrreat reviews for you.

Iron Man
I hate Chuck D, but he said it best when he yelled 'Don't believe the hype' He simply must be refering to Iron Man! The acting was ok, Downey was good, Bridges was bad. The action was ok, Iron man was neat, his enemies weren't. How is it possible that this movie rates higher than There will be Blood?! WTF STOOPIDS.
6 out of 10, fuck you nerds!

Portishead Third

This album is so brilliant and so difficult that it is hard to rate. I like it and dislike it. The Rip is one of the most brilliant songs I've heard in a while, and the overall production value is fantastic. The cuts are hard to listen too, the songs seem not to go anywhere, and Beth Gibbons seems to have lost something in her vocals. There are a lot of new and interesting mixes in this, but overall does not have enough to sustain my interest.
5.4 out of 10, download The Rip though...it's excellent

I just thought I'd post a weird picture 7 out of weird!

News and Notes and a review about news and notes

Here are somethings that I think need to happen.

1)A serious Poker night, I'm getting a little fed up with the distinct lack of poker in my life. Make it happen! I DEMAND IT!

2)I need to really try harder to winter bbq, come on people let's get real...I love bbq!

3)I need to host a party. I love being social, and throwing events...so why haven't I?

Why haven't I done most of these things in so long????

Nick's bad planning and executing of fun things 2.1 out of 10, bad effort Smith pfft!

On the flip side 5.6 out of 10 for the news and notes post, it's a start Smith!

Sunny Blue Skied Days in the Winter

I hate winter, I mean I really hate it. This winter has been terrible, made only worse by my lack of funds. Good friends and an amazing fiance are paramount, however, blue skies and sunny days in an otherwise shitty, cold, crappy season is about the only thing to look forward to. Good work...???
Blue Skies and Sunny Days 9.7 out of 10 *highest review yet!

Last of the Big Oscars

A good film, well put together and ultimately worthy of the Oscar for best picture. It was not the best director, that will/should go to the Cohens. Daniel Day Lewis was excellent, and the film itself is rich with anxiety and eerie anticipation of bad and foreboding things to come to light. I actually thought the movie did not feel long, and that the pacing was very good, although I had just worked a 9hr shift on my feet so perhaps I was due for a rest. The film is a heavy 2hr and 40mins, but I was drawn through almost all of it. Well cast, well shot, and worthy of joinging the top 5 group.

I give it a 7.9 our of 10

Hangover Cure Pt.1

So I had heard a lot about what the real hangover cures are. Barring pure saline taken interveniously, I had heard that pedialyte was like a gatorade concentrate for hydration. So I bit the bullet and bought some, it's expensive about $10 for 750ml.

So here was my first attempt at the ultimate cure.

250ml of pedialyte
1 pint of water
2 cups of coffee
and here's the kicker... a mini V8!

Ok, I'm not going to lie the V8 was a little tough to get down. I should also say that my hangover wasn't too bad, mild headache.

I found after an elapsed time of about 30 minutes, I did feel better. On my next round I'm going to less coffee, more water, and dilute the pedialyte (it's very sweet), and a possibly a couple of vitamin C's.

It's a good cure, but the best is still out there 6.8 out 10
